AMERICA IS GREAT.
NOT BECAUSE OF OUR DIVERSITY, BUT BECAUSE OF OUR LIBERTY
OUR DIVERSITY IS A SPLENDID CONSEQUENCE OF OUR LIBERTY
DIVERSITY SHOULD NOT BE CHAMPIONED AS A GOAL. MAINTAINING LIBERTY SHOULD BE OUR GOAL, AND DIVERSITY WILL BE OUR REWARD.
IMMIGRANTS DO NOT COME TO AMERICA BECAUSE OF DIVERSITY, THEY COME BECAUSE OF LIBERTY.
THIS LIBERTY AND THE FREEDOM IT PROMISES MUST COME WITH EXPECTATION OF CIVILITY, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, AND OBJECTIVE MORALITY.
Diversity does not make America great. America’s greatness makes her diverse. Immigrants did not risk their lives fleeing communist dictators and crossing treacherous oceans because of American “diversity”, they did it for liberty. People of all races, religions, and cultures dream of coming to America because of the freedom and dignity promised to her citizens. It is this widely shared dream that has made America diverse.
We’re often told by popular culture and academia to celebrate diversity as one of America’s great tenants. To praise and seek diversity in faith-like fashion. Endlessly they labor to craft, and categorize new additions to the congregation.
Diversity is not a goal of free people, it is just one consequence of freedom, and a blessing to be appreciated. Our goal as free people has been, and must continue to be, one of preserving liberty and formal equality. Promises of the freedom to control your own destiny, the freedom to utilize your own talents, the freedom to amass wealth, equal protection under the law, and the freedom to proclaim your faith without fear of persecution. These are the timeless principles that have appealed to individuals from around the world. These are the freedoms that gave America her greatness. These are the freedoms that earned us our diversity.
